Tuberous Breast Correction

Tuberous breast deformity is a congenital condition in which the breast tissue develops with a constricted base, a herniated areola or noticeable asymmetry. Correction requires releasing the constricted tissue and reshaping the breast, often with an implant or fat grafting.

Frequently asked questions

Is one surgery enough?

Usually, though severe cases occasionally benefit from a refinement stage.

Will both sides match exactly?

The goal is close symmetry; perfect mirroring is not realistic for any breast.

Do I need an implant?

Often yes, to fill the released lower pole — fat transfer is an alternative in some cases.

What age is appropriate?

After breast development is complete, typically 18 or older.
